Vision

SKILL will be a pioneer organization in informal TEVT sector of Nepal.

Mission

Nepali youth will be gainfully employed or self-employed for livelihood through market oriented, qualitative and practical skill training. 

Target Group

Nepali youth disadvantaged by lack of education, poor socio-economic conditions or lack of easy access. SKILL gives priority to socially excluded and disadvantaged youth, conflict victims, indigenous people (janajati), women and occupational caste groups.

Development Objective

To create employment opportunities for unemployed youth through market 

oriented mobile base vocational training.    

Operational Objectives

- Produce skilled people in tandem with market needs.

- Ensure employment

- Achieve higher level of self-reliance through selling diversified services based  

   on SKILL expertise

- Upgrade occupational skills in line with market demands 

- Update market oriented trades (skill standardize/ up-scaling)

Key Concepts of Mobile Training

The major thrust of mobile training is to provide access of vocational training to those youth who are deprived from the centered based training due to the lack accessibility, mobility and unable to fulfilling the entry requirements

Mobility: SKILL goes to where the trainees are. It does not require participants to come to a center

Practicality: All SKILL trainings are virtually “hands-on”

Employment: SKILL aims at transforming trainees into successful self-employed entrepreneurs

Local Level: SKILL conducts its training & employment programme by using pool of trained local coordinators. These local coordinators will be in frontline to conduct market assessment, selection of trainees, management of the events and thereby placing graduates in the world of work at the local level.
