SKILL will be a pioneer organization in informal TEVT sector of Nepal.
 Mission
Nepali youth will be gainfully employed or self-employed for livelihood through market oriented, qualitative and practical skill training.
SKILL is an abbreviation of Skill & Know-how Imparted at Local Level. SKILL is a non-government, non-profit making social organization established in July 1992 by a group of Nepali professionals in close collaboration with Helvetas/Nepal. It was registered under Social Development Act-2034/HMG with Lalitpur District Administration Office and established affiliation with Social Welfare Council. It aims at providing a practical kind of vocational training based on local needs and demands to the lesser educated and disadvantaged youth of both rural and urban areas.

Through its mobile and flexible training approaches, SKILL is in a unique position at present to adapt its training packages, both in terms of contents and duration (ranging from one week to three months) to the needs of particular local markets and to the youths preferably poor and underprivileged classes of society possessing lesser school education. With improved institutional procedures and programming techniques, SKILL is now working toward improving the quality, impact and self-sufficiency of the programme.

SKILL has been providing market oriented short-term vocational training in a variety of trades to the target group of people, sustaining their livelihood and thereby lubricating the economic base at the local level.
